Still life gallery

This is one of my earliest still life. 

I loved working on this from defining the reference to painting, and glazing.  So here is a question. What is the point of red and white stripes?

This is another Matthew 4:4. This one is in acrylic.

I really liked the exercise of creating this.  It was a gift for my sister's church. I had a blast working with Pastor Steve to get it just right.

This image won best in class in a local art competition in San Diego.  In spite of my beautiful wife this is fundamentally a still life. 

This is Matthew 4:4 in oils. Do you know why?  It is one of my first to be selected in a local show. BTW the bible was really hard to paint.
