My wife Vicky and I love these guys. Both are rescues but we think Jack is 15 and Jilly 14.
Does it look like they have a secret? That's what I wanted to express. Plus wanted to work on expressing light with some Impressionistic techniques.

Painted this one for Vicky's sister several years ago. And yes, she does lay there with her arms crossed like that. Very cute right?
Jewel is a pastel piece I created very early in my career for daughter and granddaughter. Pastel can be very fun due to its immediacy but tough to do well and makes a lovely mess.
How cool is it that this excellent German shorthair has an image of a bird on her flank? And yea, that is really how she looks.
Ginger was a gift for a great boss. Interesting that when I asked what she wanted she told me she likes my portraits so that led to Ginger -- a chocolate lab on her favorite pillow.
