seascapes

This was one of my very early success in oil painting. This is a beach in Thailand.   I really like the texture of the rocks and vegetation.

I made this painting without a specific reference and really like how it came out.  Aunt Linda liked this one so had to give it to her. :-)   

This is first of the two cove paintings.  This one is for son Fred and wife Pah. I wanted to be a bit more vibrant and leave a looser sky.      

This is the second of the cove paintings.  Wanted this one to be special for Vicky.  Here I wanted to try to make the horizon feel distant. 

Torrey Pines, San Diego CA.  This is an on-site study.  I was actually really interested in capturing the curves and movement of the stream and sand.

This is a view to the southwest from the cliffs at Laguna beach.  This was another gift for a former boss.
